The Outreach committee works to strengthen existing relationships and build new ones within SUSD and throughout the greater community for the purpose of enhancing the educational environment for all students.
Past and current projects include
- Facilitating a pilot Intergenerational Tutoring Program between Granite Reef Senior Center and Yavapai-Hohokam Elementary
- Organizing PTO/APT Roundtables
- Coordinating volunteers to support our schools through events such as the City of Scottsdale Back to School program and other school related programs and events

PTO Roundtable Recap
On Nov 19th, we came together for our Fall PTO Roundtable to discuss ways in which we can help promote and grow our schools.
Thank you to everyone who joined us and a special thank you to our parent presenters! The message was clear…we have a passionate and creative community of parents devoted to helping our schools, but more district guidance and support is sought.

Dec General Meeting will include Potluck and Gift Card Drive
Our December 11th General Meeting will focus on community service and teaching kids to care. Everyone is welcome to join us at 9 am for a little pre-meeting holiday potluck. Sign up here if you’d like to bring a treat!
We are also holding a gift card drive! We are asking for gift cards to WalMart and grocery stores (any amount under $50) which will be distributed by our SUSD community specialists to support SUSD families. Feel free to invite your school communities to participate!
