Chromebook passwords and extensions
IT services is working to allow the changing of student default passwords from their birthdate. We will let you know once we receive a firm date for deployment.It has been brought to our attention that some Chromebooks allow students to install Chrome extensions via the Chrome Web Store without needed approval. These extensions can divert the student’s attention from what they are supposed to be working on in class, and can also have security implications (for instance, once installed some can “Read and change all your data on the websites you visit”). We are working with IT services to remedy this as well. ~Brad Duell
