The purpose of the Scottdale Parent Council Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion Committee is to ensure all students have an equitable learning experience either in person or online. The focus of our work are equity issues involving people of color, culture, gender identity, LGBTQ+, invisible and visible disabilities, socio-economics and beliefs to work toward a fair public education and the success of all students.
Our short term focus is to encourage equity for the SUSD online learning experience. Once the students go back in-person, this committee will shift primarily to creating a more inclusive school culture for in-person learning.
