The State Senate reconvened on May 8th after adjourning in late March to observe Governor Ducey’s Stay at Home Order. They are reconvening in order to sine die. This means they are adjourning indefinitely until the next legislative session begins in January 2021 or the Governor calls them into a special session.
The State House of Representatives has decided it will not sine die, but will continue in session. This means that Representatives could pass some legislation already approved by the Senate, but there’s no way to predict how this will move forward.
Bills that have not made it through the Senate as of May 8th will most likely die and need to be reintroduced when the new legislative session begins in 2021.
